State of Tennfsee Franklin County March Four of the Circuit Court in the year of Our Lord eighteen hundred & fifty-two

The Grand Jurors for the State charged to inquire for the body of the County of Franklin and State aforesaid upon then accused aforesaid present that William B Keely & William Boyd of said County summon heretofore to wit on The Second day of February in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred & fifty-two the force & arms in the County aforesaid in & upon Jane Nugent, Martha Nugent, Elizabeth Nugent, Mary Ann Nugent, Minerva Nugent & Musadora Nugent in the peace of God & State aforesaid then & there being did make an assault & battery & then the said Jane, Martha, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Minerva, and Musadora Nugent did then and there beat, bruise, wound & ill treat & other wrongs to them the said Jane, Martha, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Minerva, & Musadora Nugent then & there did to their great damage & against the peace & dignity of the State.
