Martha Nugent was born around 1823 in Roark's Cove Franklin County Tennessee. Her father was John Nugent and mother was Elizabeth Neighbors. Martha is named as one of the beneficiaries in the Will of William Nugent, her grand father. Martha and her sisters were assaulted as is shown in the 1852 court case. She married George W Dossett June 28, 1858 in Franklin County and had a son John T. according to the 1860 census record. George died in the Civil War in 1862. I have found no other record of her son John T since. In the 1870 census she is living with her father and is listed as an heir in the John Nugent estate in 1876 as Martha Dossett. She probably died in Franklin County before the 1880 census. I have found no marked grave or records since then.
