George W Dossett was born around 1837 in Tennessee. He married Martha Nugent in Franklin County on June 28, 1858. They had a son John T according to the 1860 census record but I have found no record of him since then. He lived with Timothy Roark in the 1850 and 1860 census records but I am not sure of the relationship. He joined the Confederate Army Company K Unit 32 Tennessee Infantry on November, 25 1861 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He died while serving with the 44th Tennessee Regiment. This unit surrendered at Fort Donelson, Tennessee February 16, 1862. I have yet to find the place, battle or date of his death.
