Eunice Elizabeth Bennett, known as Elizabeth, was raised by her mother Elizabeth Caroline Bennett. Her father was Littlebury Bennett who died when she was very young. She lived with her mother until she married to George Washington Nugent in May 13, 1893 by P.G. Sells. She died giving birth to their child on January 14, 1895. She was buried with their baby in the Gipson Cemetery in Roark's Cove Franklin Co. TN. The family story says that George built a fence around the grave and stayed there at night for a month to protect her from grave robbers in the area.
