The following are the six known children of Miles Taylor and Margaret Nugent. Rebeccah Ann was born in Roark's Cove in Franklin county Tennessee circa 1839. She married Elihu Shook, moved to Cleburne county Arkansas in the mid 1880's and died there February 7, 1923. William A was born in Roark's Cove in Franklin county Tennessee circa 1843. He enlisted in 12th Alabama Regiment company G on August 15, 1861 in Woodville, AL. He died in a Virginia hospital probably from typhoid fever on December 1, 1861. Benjamin was born in the Paint Rock area in Jackson county Alabama circa 1845. He enlisted in 12th Alabama Regiment company G on March 8, 1862 in Woodville, AL. He died in the battle of Sharpsburg on September 17, 1862. Sarah Elizabeth was born in the Paint Rock area in Jackson county Alabama November 27 ,1846, married James Jacob Houk and probably died there. Manerva Jane was born in the Paint Rock area in Jackson county Alabama circa 1848, married John Fletcher Erwin and probably died there. James E was born in the Paint Rock area in Jackson county Alabama in August 1858, married Harriet M Jones and died in Hollytree, Jackson county Alabama circa 1904.
